Sow Cincy is an equipping ministry started out of the heart-stirring by God to Matthew and Christen. When we look at all the issues creeping into our cities and in our country it boils down to the question, “where does our hope come from?” Racial injustice, drug overdose, fatherlessness, poverty, inequality among people are all looking to be solved, but as people, we are forgetting that this is and always will be a spiritual battle.
We were given a vision to see churches be energized in fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28). We know that Christians across the U.S. specifically are not sharing the gospel not due to malicious intent, but rather may not know how to share or how to defend the Gospel. We want to teach practical tips, and have an open space for people to practice before going out among their community.
We have a heart for Avondale. A beautiful neighborhood, sandwiched by two major universities (University of Cincinnati and Xavier) and surrounded by three hospitals (UC Health, Shriners Hospital, & Cincinnati Children’s), that tends to get a bad reputation. We love the Church in Avondale and we want to see the Church pour it’s love and light into this area.
And Sow Cincy was born. A ministry that is designed to equip every member to sow seeds for the kingdom. We provide free and customized educational training for evangelism and discipleship. We want to see the discipleship of Christ multiplied for the next 30 years or more.
