Matthew is a Christ-follower, husband to Christen, father of three (formally known as The Kids TM), hamburger connoisseur, video game enthusiast, gardener, wood-workman, and most importantly, avid avoider of salads. Originally from Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, Matthew received his bachelor’s degree in social work from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. Matthew also has completed several courses toward’s his masters in Christian Leadership. Matthew has almost a decade of experience speaking professionally in schools, community centers, and youth groups. He has worked with several non-profit organizations as a contracted facilitator and curriculum developer. Matthew has a particular passion for youth and children’s ministry having served several years as a Sunday School teacher and youth leader in his hometown.

Matthew is also passionate about worship as he plays the guitar and bass. He has had the privilege of participating in a dozen worship bands and briefly led youth worship at a church in Dallas, TX.

Matthew is a writer and speaker. He enjoys writing on his personal blog and in 2015, Matthew had the privilege of being able to teach and preach to his former youth group at their annual summer church camp.
